A Cold Dark Place By Toni Anderson

A Cold Dark Place, the first book from Cold Justice series by Toni Anderson, an international bestselling Romantic Suspense author.

This is a story of FBI Special Agent Mallory Rooney and Former CIA assassin Alex parker. Mallory started her career as an FBI agent thinking that one day she will be able to find her twin sister’s abductor. While investigating a serial killer, Mallory suspects there might be a vigilante in the department.

She starts digging deeper to find the answers to her suspicion. Meanwhile, the attraction between Mallory and Alex is getting serious and both are not sure how to respond to it. Alex works for a Gateway project, an organization that hunts criminals by operating outside the law. He provides his services of killing these criminals in return for his freedom. As Mallory is unaware of Alex’s past, the romance between these two gets complex, and the plot revolves around this complexity. More bodies of young women start getting discovered when Mallory gets the clues which are relating to her sister’s abduction.

How Mallory will react when she finds out the lies surrounding Alex’s life. Will they ever have a future together? Will she ever be able to find her sister’s killer? You will discover all the answers once you start approaching the climax.

Personally, romantic suspense is my favorite genre. About this book and author, this is my very first book from Toni Anderson. I liked her storytelling style. Characters are built very patiently. My favorite character from this story is Mallory as she represents a strong and independent woman in a profession mostly dominated by men.

Editing of the book is nicely done. I would recommend this book for audiences above the age of 18 as there are adult contents. Finally, I would like to give 4.7 stars out of 5 stars for this incredible book by Toni Anderson. I am definitely going to read more from Toni.
